The Story Behind VivahSphere

Every great product is born from a personal problem. VivahSphere wasn't conceptualized in a boardroom; it was born in the back of a car travelling through Tier-2 towns in Tamil Nadu, and at a dining table covered in receipts.

The Spark (Nov 2025)

In late 2025, our founder, Gokul, took a career break from the IT industry to manage a family wedding. It was the wedding of his sister-in-law—the last of three daughters—and the responsibility fell on the son-in-laws to support the family.

What started as "helping out" quickly turned into a massive logistical operation. We travelled across Tamil Nadu inviting guests, managed vendors across different cities, and tried to coordinate expenses between two families (Bride and Groom).

The "Diary vs. Spreadsheet" Problem

When the celebrations ended, the real headache began: Reconciliation.

We found ourselves staring at a chaotic mix of data:

• The Mother-in-Law's Diary: Hand-written notes of cash payments for flowers, priests, and rituals.
• The Techie's Spreadsheet: A complex Excel sheet tracking online transfers and bookings.
• The Missing Links: "Who paid for the extra transport?" "Did the groom's side cover the reception dinner?"

We realized that neither tool worked. Diaries are too manual; Spreadsheets are too rigid. Indian weddings are dynamic, emotional, and involve huge families—standard software just doesn't understand that context.

Our Mission

We built VivahSphere to solve this specific chaos.

We believe that wedding planning shouldn't be about data entry; it should be about celebration. Our mission is to provide the Operating System for Indian Weddings—a platform that merges cultural nuance with modern technology.
